We will not have our usual 11:00 work session on March 16. Every two years, council holds a retreat to discuss issues and set goals for the coming two year period. We will be doing this on Tuesday. Our meeting will take place a the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

We will begin at 8:30 and go until 4:00 pm. It is a long day and we always accomplish a great deal. I want to thank VCOM for letting us use their facilities.

It is important when we have a planning session like this to get outside of our usual meeting places and town offices. It is best to have a fresh perspective and for all of us to detach from distractions. Our time at VCOM will allow us to stay close to town but still work out of a different setting.

Council tries from time to time to move some of our non fixed meetings around the community. This gets us out and gives a better view of the town as a whole. VCOM is very important to the town for many different reasons and we all look forward to spending time there and our tour at the end of our meeting.
